Haley Pippins Damron, MA, LCMHC, LCAS, NCC, CSI
Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling - Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor - Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist - National Certified Counselor - Clinical Supervision Intern
I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from NC State University and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Addiction Studies from NC Central University. I have experience working with individuals within inpatient and outpatient settings managing substance use trials and tribulations, individual and group therapy, focusing on anxiety, depression, relationship issues, confidence building, and more.
I understand feeling as if you can’t express your thoughts or emotions. Thinking “no one gets how I feel, no one understands, I can’t talk to anyone about it”. I feared the stigma of therapy and feeling as if “I can’t do it on my own then I shouldn’t ask anyone to help me through this”. This is a lie we tell ourselves.
Talking through our thoughts and emotions is a healthy and holistic process to a greater sense of self, self-awareness of the effects our behaviors have on those around us, and develops the self regulation we need to simplify the complex world which is consistently evolving.
It is not asking for help. It is courage to acknowledge that something has changed within ourselves or our lives which has caused a negative impact on our habits or emotions.
My name is Haley and I am here to walk down the path of growth with you. I provide compassionate, empathic, and non-judgmental therapy. I love to read anything revolving around historical fiction. I believe we are all big kids at heart and some times “adulting” can take that magic from the world. I love my fur babies and believe in organized chaos which includes two cats and three dogs roaming around the house. I attempt to have a green thumb and use gardening as my way decompress from everyday life stressors. I am in the beginning phases of creating my own personal homestead to simplify my life as well.
We all struggle within life in one way or another. So join me and let’s grow together.
